Sam Fricker has been diving for the Australian National Diving team, but recently was selected as an Olympic Diver for the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020. He is also striving to keep our planet clean by creating eco-friendly solutions to single use plastics through his company Sam Straws and now through this swimwear range with Delfina.
The collaboration between Sam Fricker and Timothy (Tim) Johnston was ignited as they are both young ocean conversationist. Sam and Tim love the opportunity to highlight the beauty of our oceans and our responsibility of their future health.
The Wistari Reef Azure Artwork is of one of Australia’s great natural treasures, Wistari Reef and is part of the Great Barrier Reef just off Heron Island. This painting is an aerial ocean abstract of Tim's good friend, Varlerie Taylor’s AM photography from 1960, and was painted to promote higher marine protection zoning.
Sam is an avid ambassador for Tim’s ocean initiative CollaborOCEANS (creatives collaborating for ocean conservation). This is epitomised in both Sams’ passion for diving and Tim’s art highlighting the beauty and wellbeing our oceans provide.
